Take-home reading program
We are very excited to begin our take-home reading program. Students will be receiving a new book every Wednesday and are asked to return their folder to school on Monday. Students are encouraged to read their book multiple times to increase confidence and fluency.

St.Anne’s Kingdom Club is holding a bake sale on the morning of Friday,March,13th. Each item is $1. Students can buy a maximum of 2 items. There will be a variety of treats! All money raised is going to the Free The Children Foundation. For more information go to:

Celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday
We have been reading many different Dr. Seuss books over the past few weeks. We have been learning about and identifying different rhyming words (a common theme in many of his children's books).
March 2nd was Dr. Seuss's birthday and the students thought that this deserved a special celebration. We had a fun filled afternoon learning about and celebrating his many wonderful stories.

Learning about money
Seeing as we transformed our dramatic play area into a coffee shop, we began to talk and learn about money. We started by discussing why it is important to learn about money.
We talked about coins and bills. Each coin looks different and is worth a different amount. We examined and compared coins.
