Family Literacy Day

A big thank you to all of our parent volunteers who helped us to celebrate Family Literacy Day. It was a huge success!

Sens Ticket Raffle

Fundraising4fun is a group of four grade 5 girls at St. Anne's who are holding a Sens ticket Raffle on Friday, February 12th. It will at the same day as the Valentine’s day Raffle. You will be able to purchase tickets at the Valentine’s Raffle or in class from homeroom teachers.

Tickets are 50 cents each or $2/5

All the proceeds from this Fundraiser will go to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (C.H.E.O).

Roll and Dot the Number

We love math! We rolled dice and dotted the number on our pages. We are getting good at recognizing the number on the dice without counting the dots.

Our dinosaur Inquiry

The children began showing an interest in dinosaurs. We decided to start a class inquiry. We began by looking at different books and talking about different dinosaurs.

We learned that paleontologists study dinosaur bones. We created our own dinosaur dig and discussed and compared fossils.

Finding and printing dinosaur names.

Exploring dinosaur footprints using play dough.

Copying dinosaur words in our journals.

Discussing the actual size of a triceratops footprint.

Measuring and comparing to the size of our footprints. Almost all of our shoes fit inside it's footprint!
